Building surveyors are experts in a range of building legislation, technical codes and construction standards, in particular the Building Code of Australia. Building surveyors certify plans and structures in accordance with building legislation and issue building permits. Building surveyors are also specialists in providing compliance advice on a range of building issues including, disabled access, fire safety engineering and energy efficiency.
